Dataset Update: Confirmed COVID-19 Cases

Data from the 25th of June has been suppressed for the datasets ‘Cases by likely source of infection’ and ‘Cases by location and likely source of infection’. This is due to the risk of gaining information about an individual in the dataset.

The datasets are assessed daily to measure the risk of identifying an individual and to measure the information gained if it was known that an individual was in the dataset. The dataset is then treated to mitigate these risks.

Is there any information on how this decision is being made?

Given the information in the news on all recent cases (suburb, school, etc) it is very hard to see how the existence of a case and the postcode gives any information that isn’t already very public - and is in fact less information than is already public.
